A 2 days trip from Marrakech to the Zagora desert is always a great experience. On this 2 day Morocco itinerary, you will go from the imperial city of Marrakech to the Zagora Desert at the marvelous natural site of Tinfou dunes. The 2 days from Marrakech to Zagora drive you to cross the High Atlas Mountains, which stand up to 4000 meters. Your initial stop will be at the UNESCO site of Ksar Ait Benhaddou. Eventually, you will remark on the unusual change of scenery entering Ouarzazate, where you commence spotting the first palm groves and oasis-like scenes.

Your first day will be direct to Tinfou dunes, quickly crossing the amazing Draa Valley, which you will have the chance to visit the next day while returning to Marrakech. The 2 days 1, night, to Zagora desert from Marrakech, will have you sleep in a true Berber tent in the desert. This will be an unforgettable journey. In the night, you will have a delicious dinner near the fireplace and listen to local drum music played by the desert camp staff.

Next morning you will depart to visit Draa Valley’s special mud village of Tamnougalt. Furthermore, you will stop at Ouarzazate on the road to visit Taourirt kasbah, the famous Atlas studios. Arrive in Marrakech by late afternoon to end our services of the Marrakech Zagora 2 days excursion.
