7-day Morocco itinerary
Arrival at the airport. After the passport formalities and collecting your luggage, you will be welcomed by our team, who will be waiting for you. You will be transferred to the accommodation. If your flight arrives early, you can start exploring Marrakech for yourself. Sleep in a hotel or riad with breakfast.
8 am morning departure towards the High Atlas Mountains by passing Tizi n’Tichka at 2260m altitude. Visit Glaoui’s magnificent kasbah in the village of Telouet (ticket 20dh per person). Lunch in Telouet (menu 70dh). Through the old caravan route in the Ounila valley, dotted with small Berber villages, we find the Ksar de Ait Benhaddou (UNESCO), where several famous films such as The Gladiator, The Mummy, Game of Thrones were filmed. Sleep in a hotel or riad on a half-board basis.
We continue our desert journey and set off towards the incredible Gorges do Todra, a canyon with over 300 meters high. We have lunch in Tinghir (menu 70dh per person). Before reaching the dunes, there is still time for a brief visit near Jorf, into the underground irrigation system called Khetaras (ticket 10 DH per person). Arrive at the Erg Chebbi Dunes for a camel ride and a night spent in a beautiful desert camp. Sleep in luxury tents on a half-board basis.
After waking up early to enjoy the sunrise on the dunes (optional), we start our day by visiting the traditional market in Rissani, a strategic location on the old caravan routes that connected sub-Saharan Africa with the ancient city of Sijilmassa. After lunch in Alnif (menu 70dh) we stop in the interesting Ksar of Tamnougalt, where we have a guided visit to this building (ticket 20dh). Before arriving in Ouarzazate, we continue our journey through the Draa Valley, where we stop to enjoy the panoramic view of Agdz with its 2 million palm trees. Sleep in a hotel or riad on a half-board basis.
Morning visit to the Atlas Film Studios (80dh per person) and the Kasbah Taourirt (35dh per person) in the city of Ouarzazate. We cross the Atlas Mountains again to reach Marrakech in the late afternoon. Sleep in a hotel or riad with breakfast.
9 am morning visit of Marrakech’s old city and markets with an official guide. The cultural visit with a local guide to the essential points of Marrakech. The program includes Ben Youssef Quranic School (70dh per person), Bahia Palace (70dh per person), Souks, Djemaa El Fna Square, Koutoubia, Jewish Quarter. You have the afternoon free to explore the city on your own. Sleep in a hotel or riad with breakfast.
