Archaeological Sites of the Island of Meroe

This group of sites on the island of Meroe in Sudan is home to the remains of the Kingdom of Meroe, which ruled over the region from the 8th century BCE to the 4th century CE. Sanganeb Marine National Park and Dungonab Bay – Mukkawar Island Marine National Park
