This tour encompasses a 15-day adventurous journey across various landscapes and cities in Mauritania. Starting from Nouakchott, the first day involves a welcome at the airport and an overnight stay at a campsite in Atar. The following days are packed with transfers to different locations, including Chinguetti and Zarga, exploring on foot and by 4×4 vehicles. The itinerary includes visits to significant Islamic sites, interaction with nomadic tribes, and discovering the diverse flora and landscapes of Mauritania. Hiking through dunes canyons, and enjoying bivouacs under the stars are part of this enriching experience, culminating with a return to Atar for a final exploration before the airport transfer on day 15.

Day 1 :
Day 1: Nouakchott to Atar
- Arrival at the airport, greeted by our team.
- Transfer to Atar and check into Campement des Toiles Maures for an overnight stay.
- Dinner at the campement.
Day 2 :
Day 2: Atar to Chinguetti
- Morning transfer to Chinguetti via a 4x4 ride on an 80 km trail through the Passe de Ould Ebnou.
- Stopover at Fort Sagane before continuing to Chinguetti, the 7th holy city of Islam.
- Visit the mosque and small libraries in Chinguetti.
- Overnight stay at a local auberge or in the Chinguetti palm grove, meeting with our camel handlers.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 3 :
Day 3: Chinguetti to Oued de Chinguetti
- Start hiking eastwards through Oued de Chinguetti towards Mont Zarga, with lunch en route.
- Encounter nomads and their beautiful white tents, sharing tea with them.
- Bivouac in the middle of the dunes for the night.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 4 :
Day 4: Plateau de Zarga
- Traverse a white sand erg and a grés plate, with lunch en route under the trees.
- Bivouac near Mont Zarga for the night.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 5 :
Day 5: Zarga to Tichilit Oueneni
- Continue hiking towards Mont Zarga, then through a fault onto a plateau overlooking the dunes.
- Lunch at the base of Mont Zarga.
- Afternoon hike through rocks and sand around the mountain to reach near Tichilit with beautiful landscapes awaiting.
- Bivouac for the night.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 6 :
Day 6: Zarga to Oued d’Irat
- Early departure through the dunes of Mont Zarga towards the village of Irat.
- Traverse dunes and cliffs before arriving in Oued d'Irat.
- Bivouac near the nomadic camp of Irat for the night.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 7 :
Day 7: Irat to Oued d’Ichif
- Morning departure from Oued d'Irat eastwards through the dunes, meeting nomads and camel handlers along the way.
- Descend gradually to the palm grove of Mhaïret, lunch under the palm trees.
- Ascend a pass to reach bivouac in the heart of the dunes of Ichif for the night.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 8 :
Day 8: Oued d’Ichif to Tourvine to Terjit
- Head towards the pass of Tourvine nestled in the heart of impressive canyons.
- Lunch at the source under the palm trees in Terjit.
- Bivouac in the dunes for the night.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 9 :
Day 9: Canyons of Terjit to Passe de Tezent
- Take the pass of Tourvine towards the pass of Tezent, traversing the canyons.
- Visit the cave of Gatara and bivouac on the large dune for the night.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 10 :
Day 10: Canyons of Gatara to Tivoujar
- Head towards the white valley, crossing the village of Tentemdje.
- Lunch under the trees and follow the Oued El Abiod to the pass of Tivoujar, the only sandy pass in the region.
- Ascend beautiful dunes to the top of the pass with stunning panoramas of Oued El Abiod.
- Bivouac at the summit for the night.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 11 :
Day 11: Tivoujar to N’drenaya to Oued El Hammam
- Short break at the source to observe the marmots, then continue to the well of N’drenaya.
- Lunch under the trees and proceed to Oued El Hammam.
- Bivouac in the Oued for the night.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 12 :
Day 12: Oued El Hammam to Village de Gleittat to Amatlich
- Depart through the Oued to the village of El Gleittat.
- Lunch in the palm grove and continue to Erg Amatlich for the bivouac.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 13 :
Day 13: Amatlich to Azouiga
- Early departure to cross the dune cord of Amatlich towards Erich, then southwest to Azouiga for the bivouac.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 14 :
Day 14: Azouiga to Atar
- 4x4 transfer to Atar with lunch en route.
- Visit Atar, dinner and overnight at Campement des Toiles Maures.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 15 :
Day 15: Transfer to Airport
Transfer to the airport, assistance with formalities.
